We received poor feedback from many of our customers about our promotions module. I volunteered to team up with a developer and our usability expert to work on the project. The redesign has virtually eliminated customer complaints and greatly increased our promotions success rate.
The team made this evaluation prior to my arrival at Sports Endeavors. This was part of the research we used for the design.
The before and after are so different because the promotions redesign took place during a time when we were working to convince stakeholders to reskin the site before the FIFA™ World Cup. While working on the promotions redesign, we also did extensive research into ecommerce checkout systems. The research and subsequent checkout mockups reinforced the need to pursue a reskin. This project was a building block for our engagement with Happy Cog in 2014 and the image above represents our checkout following the reskin.
